My main area of expertise is in Web Software Development and I have also written quite a few Desktop Applications. But, I'm certainly not limited to either of these niches. I enjoy problem solving and being able to apply old solutions to new problems but also using the latest tools and techniques on any problem, old or new. Web Software Development

My main focus for developing applications for the web include PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in order to make a fully accessible, functioning and dynamic site. PHP, PostgreSQL and MySQL are open-source development platforms, meaning that they have lower development costs and active support communities.

Some are static, meaning that the content does not change, but most are dynamic or interactive, meaning that the content can change in response to user interactions or other external conditions. Desktop Application Development

Not all problems can be resolved with a browser and a web application. Sometimes a desktop application is the right solution. Most of the same tools used to create a web application can be used to create desktop applications. In addition to the Web Development Tools, I've used Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Basic to create custom desktop applications.
